410 STAINLESS STEEL FEATURES AND BENEFITS. Provides a decorative aesthetic and superior corrosion resistance. And 20% more holding power eliminates head snapping. Gives a low, uniform profile and aesthetic appeal. No expansion or outward pressure allows installation near a concrete's edge without cracking.
Patented Advance Threadform provides superior pull-out performance. Application of coating adds extra corrosion protection. 30% less installation torque; 20% more holding power. 410 grade stainless steel with C4 top coat for added corrosion protection.
Suitable for concrete, brick and hollow-block applications. Suitable for some preservative-treated wood applications. Available in lengths from 1 1/4" to 4".
Caution: Oversized holes in the base material will reduce or eliminate the mechanical interlock of the threads with the base material and will reduce the anchor's load capacity. Drill a hole in the base material using the appropriate diameter carbide drill bit as specified in the table.
Drill the hole to the specified embedment depth plus 1/2 to allow the thread tapping dust to settle and blow it clean using compressed air. Overhead installations need not be blown clean. Alternatively, drill the hole deep enough to accommodate embedment depth and dust from drilling and tapping.
Position fixture, insert screw and tighten using drill and installation tool fitted with a hex socket or phillips bit. Preservative-treated wood applications: Suitable for use in non-ammonia formulations of CCA, ACQ-C, ACQ-D, CA-B, SBX/DOT and zinc borate. Acceptable for use in exterior environments.
Use caution not to damage coating during installation. We are one of SW Florida's LARGEST supplier! IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING STAINLESS STEEL TAPCONS.The 410-grade stainless steel will stick to the magnet even though it is stainless steel of a lower grade. The 410-grade stainless steel resists corrosion in dry atmospheres, freshwater, acids, mild alkalies, food, hot gasses and steam. Tapcons are coated with Climaseal®. This coating, when applied on top of 410 stainless steel, gives these concrete screws superior rust resistance. This coating is called a thermosetting polyester coating and is a result of a three-step process. First, the concrete screws are cleaned and pre-treated and a zinc overcoat is mechanically applied. Second, a first coating of Climaseal® is applied by dipping each screw into the liquid then spinning each screw.
This provides consistent coverage and quality. During the third and final step, the screws are dried in a furnace before the second coat of Climaseal® is applied.
